Academy Appoints Three New Governors-at-Large: Haifaa Al-Mansour, Effie T. Brown and Annie Chang
Governors-at-large, like their branch-elected counterparts, may serve up to two three-year terms — either consecutively or non-consecutively — followed by a two-year hiatus. After the hiatus, they may serve up to two additional terms, with a lifetime cap of 12 years.
The Board of Governors is responsible for setting the Academy’s strategic vision, maintaining its financial stability and ensuring the fulfillment of its mission to support excellence in the motion picture arts
